... Sorry Linda, but I have not got a single bit of helpful advice yet. They have told me things I already knew and none of them solve the problem and they did not listen to me when I said that what they said did not work. To those of you that have replied and tried to help, Please listen!!!! IE7 is the default browser, my virus software has nothing to do with it and outlook express is not working right. Any other ideas, perhaps that IE7 has a glitch that needs to be fixed???? "Linda Goulet" wrote: I am having the same problem with my links. Where do I get the answers on how to fix it. This is beginning to get really frustrating. Thanks "LordAgular" wrote in message ... For some reason, when I click on a link within an email in OE, either nothing happens or it opens a page in my documents. All links are that way within my OE. Is there something that can be done to solve this? From http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types. Scroll down to URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol (NOT URL:Internet Shortcut) and select it. Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version. Select 'open'. Click Edit. "Application used to perform this action" should read: "C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\iexplore.exe" -nohome (Check the path to iexplore.exe to make sure that is correct and use the double quotes.) DDE should be checked and in the boxes below it you should have: #1: "%1",,-1,0,,,, #2 IExplore #3 (blank) #4 WWW_OpenURL URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy should be the same. Sometimes it is necessary to uncheck Use DDE. If that doesn't fix it, go to Start | Run and type regsvr32 urlmon.dll -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM "Anyone who prefers security over freedom deserves neither." |

Posting in one (1) newsgroup about the problem (or crossposting all of your posts to both newsgroups; i.e., OE6 and IE General) would help us help /you/ more efficiently, LA.
