So many of my contacts have adopted MSN Messenger 7.5, which does not
communicate fully with Windows Messenger, that I found myself forced to also
change to MSN Messenger. As a result, I have lost my online Hotmail contacts
from OE.
Is there any way that link can be restored? Is there any prospect that MS
will get their act together and eliminate the ridiculous confusion that
Wndows v. MSN Messenger causes?

That functionality was eliminated in an earlier version of MSN Messenger and
there are no plans to bring it back.
