Default sum messages belonging to folder

I used to add messages in folders and I'd like to sum, for every older, the
messages belonging to this folder. The subject for the accumulated message
is not imported.

Regards

Mark

Sorry, but I don't understand what it is you want. Try telling us a little
more completely what it is you have in mind and there may be a way to do it.

Default sum messages belonging to folder

If you want to Count the number of messages in a folder, make sure that
View, Layout, Status Bar is checked. Then when you select a folder in
the status bar (lower left hand corner) is be a count of messages.

Make sure that View, Current View isn't hiding any messages or else they
won't be counted.

Default sum messages belonging to folder

I create folders under "Local folders" in which I gather massages. Regarding
one single folder, which has some 50 messages,I want to merge their content
into a single "message". I don't care about the subject of this "global"
message.

Does that help?

Thanks

Mark

Open the folder, select all the messages (Ctrl+A), then while they are
highlighted, press Message/Combine and Decode. This will result in a single
message but you will lose the header information and the HTML formatting so
the results may not be what you have in mind.

Unfortunately you are right- this spoils more than it helps. Isn't there any
way to combine html formatting also?

Thanks

Not that I'm aware of, other than cutting/pasting into a blank example of
Notepad which I've also done on occasion.

If you're just trying to archive them you can use Forward as attachment
and then save that. Each attached message could then be launched
separately by doubleclicking on its icon in the the "enveloping" E-mail.

Thanks
