Hi

I get his message below whenever I try to get "online Mail" I can get into my class folders, post, etc. yet I cannot get anything into my inbox and I have gotten anything yet to my inbox. Help anyone??

Are you sure it's an IMAP server and not a POP3 server?
Try setting up another account for the same server but as a POP3 server.

Are you sure it's an IMAP server and not a POP3 server?
Try setting up another account for the same server but as a POP3 server.

The server ('email07.uophx.edu') answers on port 993. More likely an
advance configuration error. I know that setting the port first doesn't
work when setting up for SSL. For some reason, if you set the port
number to something other than 110, then click on the SSL enable box,
MSOE resets the port to 110. Click on the SSL enable box first, then
change the port from 110 to 993. Also, I use the "Apply" button before
"OK". Just to be sure the changes stick.

Have you configured the MS Outlook Express tab properly? You have to
click on SSL first, then change to port 993, otherwise the port change
setting won't stick.

Also, be sure that you have the username correct. Some servers don't
accept just the username. Case in point: I have to use my full email
address as the username for my ISP mail accounts.

I don't know if this applies to the error code, but you should disable
any email anti virus scanning when using MS Outlook Express. AV and MSOE
don't play well together. Same is true for NAI (McAfee) and Symantec
(Norton) anti spam programs.
