Hi,
I have Win XP SP2 and have recently been receiving attachments that have the ".pps" file name. I have downloaded and installed PowerPoint Viewer 2003 and can view the file IF I first save it to My Documents and then open it by double-clicking the saved PPS file. As I saved the file from OE, I did not change the name of the file in any way. When I click it to OPEN inside OE 6, I get the error that says that there is NO association for this type file and to go and create one. I have checked the Security tab inside OE 6 options and the Block Attachments options ARE NOT checked. Can anyone help me with the solution to this problem. I really hate to save all of the slideshows before I can see them. I have looked in the registry at the PPS file type and it is pointing to PowerPoint Viewer as it should be. -- Thanks in advance for your help... Larry H. |
