Manually edit it. But watch out: it will still wrap to what you setting is
in Tools | Options | Send | Settings in the appropriate Mail or News
Settings section.

1. What does unwrapping mean & what does e-mail cleaner do? Excuse my
ignorance.

Wrapping is breaking up lines so that they fit in the message window.

Different mail programs wrap differently. And when the original message
in included in a reply, the message format can get very messy. This can
include alternating short and long lines and the reply character such as
.

There are utilities (message cleaners) that can reformat the text to
make it look nicer. They can take out the reply characters and reflow
the paragraphs. These are things you could do manually,. But if you do
it a lot it gets tedious.

Thank you. I shall certainly now get e-mail cleaner. That messy format has
always annoyed me but I'd never bothered to try to do anything about it.
