Hi Group.
Had a problem with my old hard drive. have new one now, but am looking to restore some of my older e-mails back into the current OE6. I found the old INBOX file with the .DBX extension. The computer shop saved it in a "OLD STUFF" file on the new hard drive. I thought I could just open the current INBOX, click "file" and go to "import" But then I'm lost. I think the earlier file was also in OE6 but I've tried just ablut all the options that come up and even when I do enter the locationof the old INBOX.DBX, I get an error message that says: " No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running has the required files open. Please select another folder or try closing applications taht may have files open." Except I don't have any other applications that would have that file open. Any ideas? I am sure this is the file because looking into it, there are a bunch of old .dbx files thre, Drafts, Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items etc. and the Inbox.dbx file I want to access has 60,175 KB of data, which sounds about right. Hope someone can help. Thanks, Wendy |

Then try File | Import. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP, OE/WM Please reply in newsgroup. |
