Your Main Identity is the most likely one to become corrupt.

Bruce, the Frank Saunders page that you suggested referenced a Sandi
Hardmeier page, i.e. http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers/26.html . It suggested repairing IE. I went to Control Panel add/remove windows components. That brought up a Wizard, I highlighted Internet Explorer, clicked Next. Question: Was that a repair? It seems to have fixed my problem of the URL edits not sticking. Make sense? It is one of a few ways to repair IE/OE. Sometimes that will fix problems
like yours and sometimes a more drastic repair may be needed. If at all possible, we try to do the simplest fixes first, even if we believe a more complicated fix may be needed, such as a reinstall of IE/OE. (Try the easy things first). Glad it's fixed and you didn't have to get in deeper. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Larry" wrote in message ...
