So I see. I just added this to OE6 so replies from now on will go to both
groups. The download Frank and I gave you should have solved the problem. Check Windows Updates and make sure you are not missing any, although you shouldn't be. To make sure the download we gave you was installed successfully, compact your folders. After you're done, see if there is a copy of your dbx files in your Recycle Bin, (not Deleted Items). If there isn't, the download failed. Click on Outlook Express at the top of the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work Offline (or double click Working Online in the Status Bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Lightfoottoo" wrote in message ... Sorry! New to posting. got answered on other board but same problem after the fix "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... This was asked and answered in another group. If you feel you must post to more than one group, please do not multi-post. Crosspost instead via New Post | Tools | Select Newsgroups. This way if a post is replied to in one group, it will also be replied to in the other group(s). But even crossposting is seldom necessary since those of us that check posts, do so in more than one newsgroup. Thank you. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Lightfoottoo" wrote in message . .. In Win98 I was able to save an e-mail to the desktop, open it & send it out many different times. Kind of like using it as a form letter. I would just enter the address & send. I can't do this with XP. I can save it to the desktop but when I open it to enter the address or edit it I can only read it not edit it in any way. Any ideas why??? Thanks! |
