You may not have this patch, and be sure to see the link at the bottom. It
is a two part fix. Patch KB918651: http://tinyurl.com/mx3r2 This patch addresses some of the issues that were caused by KB911567. Address Book problems. Unsent templates appearing as sent. Manually compacting will now reset the registry counter to Zero in WinXP/SP2. See this link for more important information about editing the registry to complete the process: http://www.insideoe.com/#kb918651 -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "MargM" wrote in message ... Patch KB918651: http://tinyurl.com/mx3r2 Hi again Bruce I downloaded and installed this. Tried opening and closing OE and this pesky dialog box still kept appearing .. So I thought I try compacting manually........ Seems to have fixed the problem This patch addresses some of the issues that were caused by KB911567. Address Book problems. Unsent templates appearing as sent. Manually compacting will now reset the registry counter to Zero in WinXP/SP2. See this link for more important information about editing the registry to complete the process: http://www.insideoe.com/#kb918651 I would be very wary about editing the registry . Looks like this step wont be necessary anyway ( fingers crossed ) Many thanks for your help Bye MargM Beautiful Central Coast of NSW Australia |
