should i migrate to MS Outlook as OE Cannot manage this huge data volume? or
shall I make smalled folders and stick to OE.

I am an Enteprise class user and I use OE as I love its interface better
than MS Outlook. However if size is an issue I need to migrate :-(

and start with an empty one), but I also backup with triple redundancy
almost daily with a single button click using OETool and OEQB (both free see
www.oehelp.com/OETool/). I also redundantly download all my mail on another
machine.

The other factors that contribute to the lack of stability of the message
store are compaction problems, which are reduced in newly released patches
(see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2) and interference from other programs such
as antivirus and antispam software that was not properly tested with OE and
is known to cause problems in functionality as well as massive message loss
(see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).

So if you want huge folder sizes, then #1 backup frequently (which you
should do anyway to prepare for when the hard drive fails) and #2 get rid of
any 3rd party software that could interfere with OE. That should also save
you the cost of DBXpress. G

If you want to use OE, that's what you've got to do. Selecting all the
sent items and moving them isn't exactly a large chore.

It will depend on how you wish to sort your sent mail? By year Sent
2004,
Sent 2006 etc or To Work, To Joan? Create folders and rules then
apply them
manually on a regular basis.

OE can handle the data volume just fine if you do your part and move email
messages to user created files as you read them and keep those files under
100 MB.

Every rule has an Apply Now button. That said, IMHO, it is a waste of time.
It is quicker to click on one message in the Preview Pane and then Ctrl+A
will highlight them all. Left click on the messages and just drag them to
the folder you created to save Sent messages. You're done in ten seconds.

Automatic rules only apply to incoming mail.

Your questions about MS Outlook or Eudora would have to be addresses in a
forum for those e-mail clients.

Or you can right click on the selected messages and choose Move to
Folder and then choose the user created folder. Or you can put an icon
on the same bar as "send/receive" which will do the same thing.
