I am using OE to download e-mail both
from my ISP (Cox) and from GMAIL. However, only the Cox e-mail goes thru the OE message rules. Do I need to change some settings in OE? Does anybody know what's wrong? Dick |

OE message rules work with POP3 mail servers. They don't work with HTTP
(Hotmail/MSN) or IMAP. As far as I know, GMAIL offers only POP3 access, so that shouldn't be an issue. Assuming that GMAIL and COX are in the same Identity, then the same message rules will apply to both. If you've created a second identity for GMAIL, then you'll need to create the messages rules in the new identity. Beyond that, there would have to be some logic issue with the rules for them not to work. For some Outlook Express Message Rules tips, see: - http://www.insideoe.com/tips/rules.htm - http://www.mindspring.com/~majik/messagerules.htm -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Miles" wrote in message ...
