Default Delay in Sending posts.

You should be able to highlight the message text in the error window
(hold down the left mouse button while dragging the mouse over the
text). Then press Ctrl-C (hold down the Ctrl key while pressing the C
key) to copy the highlighted text to the Windows clipboard. You can
then paste that text into the problem description using the Ctrl-V key
combination.

I have been trying to copy the text in the usual way I cut/copy any text in
a message. I hold the left mouse key and drag it over the text area
highlighting it. I then press the right mouse key and get a menu that says I
can cut, copy or select all. I can then release the copied text from being
highlighted and I can paste it anywhere to another message anytime I want as
long as I do not shut down the System. A bit different than how you describe
it but I will try it the next time I see an error window. I just tried to
copy text that is in the window of System Properties. I can highlight my
name and the number but nothing else. Not being able to copy the rest of the
text is what happens in an error window. I would like to try again to make a
better test though.

Sometimes the message is sent right away and sometimes it is not.
Sometimes I get an error when changing groups and it takes forever
to
catch up while other groups seem to have no delay. I am wondering
if there is more than one problem or it has to do with Comcast or
what. If I go to the outbox and make it send it will go off right
away.

I see this intermittent sending problem on one of the 4 news servers
that I use, annoying true, but it is a server problem.
Going to the Outbox will change nothing, pure coincidence I would
say?

What is the error on changing groups?

Have you compacted your message store? Those delays are caused by
bloated .dbx files.
Select Outlook Express in the folder treefile menuwork
offlinefile menucompactall folders. Do not touch the machine
until compaction completes.

One thing that really sucks about those error windows is that you can
not copy them and paste them to anything. I hate having to write down
anything any more when at the keyboard. Boooo.
