Hi,
I'm in the middle of rebuilding my systems and as part of the process I'm moving my email "home" system on to a new machine. I'm okay with moving the messages and address book but is there any way I can export/import my rules (I have around 70) to the new machine? Export this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Micro soft\Outlook Express\5.0\Rules Before merging it into a new Identity or new machine, edit the REG file with WordPad and change the GUID to agree with where you want to Merge it. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP, OE/WM Please reply in newsgroup. |

Steve, Frank,
Many thanks - that did the trick (almost) I got all the rules across but then I had to edit them to point them at the correct folder (many of my rules are to keep the Inbox tidy). It was however much much better than having to rewrite them all. Thanks again, Bernie |

Well - spoke too soon.
When I started my system this morning the rules had all disappeared! I checked through the .reg file again and the GUID for the new system was correct. I've re-imported and re-edited but any ideas on why they disappeared? Bernie "Bernie Kilshaw" wrote in message ...
