I have an icon down on my bottom bar to the left next to the start button.
When I click to start IE or OutlookExpress it will take from 30 seconds to maybe two minutes to start to bring them up on the screen. I don't hear my hard drive trying to work or anything. Once it opens everything seems to work fine. I have several shortcuts next to these icons on my bottom bar and on my desktop and when I click on them it will start to take me to these site immediately. Any ideals? Thanks |

Also, if you are going to the Inbox when starting, when was the last time you compacted the mail folders. -- Ron Sommer "Rick" wrote in message ... I only have 5 messages in my OE folder and my wife doesn't have any. I store
my messages I want to keep in a subfolder I made. I did what the first message said about removing the two files of Messenger from my HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT files. Didn't seem to help. I'm thinking back now and also several months ago my computer started to act like this, when I move my mouse to stop my screensaver it takes a long time for that to act too.
