Default Photo attachments to large to view

Recently upgraded to Win XP-SP2 with Outlook Express 6. When attaching photos
to email only one eighth of photo is visable in text area. Same problem when
attaching with "paper clip" or attaching directly into text area. Must scroll
up and sideways to see entire picture. It appears the same when receiving
party reads it. I have spent hours with server and they don't know cause.
Probably an easy fix but I can't find it...HELP...

You have to resize pictures before you insert or attach them. If you don't
have a photo imaging program, you can use Paint, or download InfranView,
(freeware), to do the job.

Download InfranView at:
www.irfanview.com
or:
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html

Hi Ron,

You have a very high quality photo there.

Instead of resizing the photo, I think there is a loss of quality when one
does, just send it as it is.

If you send as an attachment the receiver, as you say, will see the actual
size. Just tell them to click on the paper clip, click on the attachment
and it should open in their Imaging program.

If they have Windows XP it will be Microsoft Window Image and Fax Viewer.
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/d....mspx?mfr=true

The photo will display as "best fit" on their screen. Because you sent a
very high quality photo they have the privilege and fun of zooming in or out
and/or other options available.

If you embed, Insert the photo into the email, one would have to save it to
their Picture folder, then when opening would display in their imaging
program.

Hope this helps,
Ken

Outlook Express displays each pixel of the picture. If the picture
resolution is 200 pixels per inch and the screen resolution is 800 X 600
pixels, then 200 pixels of your screen width is used to display 1 inch of
picture. One inch of picture could take 1/3 of screen width.
Reduce the size and/or resolution of the picture.
