Hi Realt World,
If Outlook is installed on the same PC try importing the WAB contacts. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...919601033.aspx The Outlook Express contacts can be exported as a comma-separated values (*.csv) file, or the OE contacts could be copied to a Windows folder creating virtual card (vCard or *.vcf) files. Outlook supports both types of files. More Information http://home.earthlink.net/~kuaytim/exportwab.htm Also see Outlook help for "import wab' or try other key words. -- Tim K. aka Kuay Tim MS-MVP - Outlook Express Lynnwood, WA * "Realt World-Service Professionals" oft.com wrote in message ... Hi Realt World,
Where are you looking -- is the CSV file blank when the addresses are exported from OE, or from the Windows Address Book? The CSV file can be opened in Notepad. Drag the file into a blank Notepad window. Can you copy one or more addresses to a Windows folder? These vCard (*.vcf) files could be pasted into an Outlook contacts folder. Hi Realt World,
Let's take this one step at a time. What steps are you taking when exporting contacts from Outlook as a comma-separated values file? It should be along these lines ... 1. File menu Import and Export 2. Export to a file 3. Comma Separated Values (Windows) 4. Select the Contacts folder 5. Save exported file as: Browse to a folder of choice and name the file 6. Finish The file should be ready for use for importing into the Windows Address Book. The contacts will first go the main contacts folder. You may not need to work with vCard files, but to create a vCard file is easy. 1. Select a contact 2. Right-click ... Copy 3. Go to a Windows folder created for the purpose 4. Right-click in the folder ... Paste It is possible to work with multiple entries instead of just one. -- Tim K. aka Kuay Tim MS-MVP - Outlook Express Lynnwood, WA * "Realt World-Service Professionals" oft.com wrote in message ...
