Default help!

Do you mean that rather than seeing an indication of an attached file,
you see a jumble of characters?

Is this in e-mail or newsgroups?

If you are seeing this in newsgroups, it might well be an issue of the
posters using yEnc encoding. OE doesn't support yEnc, but there are
several add-on programs that will allow you to deal with this.

If you are seeing it in e-mail, it's most liking an issue on the
sender's end.
