I am trying to convert mail from an OE4 (old W98 machine) to the new XP
machine with OE6. Although in OE6 in import you can selct OE4, when doing so
it says: "No messages can be found in this folder or another application is
running that has the required files open. Please select another folder or
try closing applications that may have files open."
Of course there is no application that has these files opened.

How can I import my old mail?

Problem solved!!.
Searching thru this forum I came upon this site:
http://www.insideoe.com/faqs/how.htm#importOE4 which exactly described my
problem.
I put my old mail in C:\MAIL so when tryin to import in OE6 I pointed at
C:\MAIL, but that's wrong!! I had to point to C:\
