Default signature file when forwarding

Hi all,
I am using OE6 and have created a html signature file. Clicking on the new
message icon in OE, my signature file appears. That's great but can someone
tell how to insert the signature file when I'm replying to or forwarding a
message? When I click on reply or forward, the signature does not appear.

Is the "Don't add signatures to Replies and FOrwards" checked? Uncheck it.

Again, thanks for your help. However I have another problem. When clicking
the forward button my signature is inserted into the new email. But sometimes
it inserts just the text, not the html format. Is there something I can do to
correct.

Make sure the mesage is in HTML format first.

If you're using a graphic, make sure the full pathlist to the graphic is in
the HTML.

That's just a couple of quick thoughts anyway.

sometimes it inserts just the text, not the html format.

Hi,

The difference may be Plain Text and Rich Text (HTML).

On the message that does not show html, choose Format, is there a dot in
front of Rich Text (HTML).

I believe there is a setting in Options, if checked, will forward or reply
to the message in the same format as the original message. Could be your
original message is formatted as Plain Text.

That appeared to be the problem. Is there a similiar setting in outlook 2000?

Hi,

In addition to my previous post.

Most likely anyone who sends a email in Plain Text, assuming they are using
Outlook Express, probably has their setting to read emails in Plain Text.

Thus if you send a html email to them they will not see any html, notable,
the html portion of your signature.

Hi,

Great to read you solved the problem.

Is there a similar setting in outlook 2000?

Unfortunately I do not have Outlook. Perhaps someone else can respond to
your query.

Thanks for your reply,
Ken
