Default receive mail

Hi,

I have 2 mailboxes from the same internet provider, mailbox A and B.
Account A can send and receive but account B can only send.

Incoming and outgoing server are exactly the same for both accounts. I've
already made a third account that is the same as the one that does not work,
but no go. Password and login are correct as I can retrieve the mail through
webmail.

Then I tried both accounts on another PC, and on that one both accounts work
fine. So the problem must be OutlookE/Windows related.

The given error is "Unknown error" and something about the server....

Any ideas?

Thanks

On the other PC that works, did you also use Outlook Express?

A potential problem could be use of anti-virus scanning e-mail as it
downloads or anti-spam program. Some of these modify the server
settings in Outlook Express and then store the real setting in
themselves.

The full text of the error message would help.

I'm guessing that you have both accounts set up in the same Identity in
OE.

You may want to try recording a pop3.log which will show more details
about incoming mail.

To create an POP3.log In OE5+, go to Tools, Options, Maintenance,
Troubleshooting and check the Mail box.
You may need to close OE after doing the send for the log to get written
to disk.
The log will be in the Store Folder which is listed in Tools, Options,
Maintenance, Store Folder.
