Default restoring e-mail folders

had to reformat HD.
Copied all e-mail folders(xxx.dbx, etc.etc. including msg in inbox) to CD.
Ready to reinstall.
I know I just can't "move" folder to "C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local
Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{02A39E04-66E7-41B2-9A42-D69A002E946A}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express" but not sure what to do.

suggestions/help please,

L.

Copy the CD to your HDD, Remove the Read Only attribute and then Import from
OE. Note that if did not include Folders.dbx, the import will fail.

Default restoring e-mail folders

Hi L,

Copy CD to a folder in My Documents.

After copy, right click the copied folder, choose Properties, confirm it is
NOT marked as Read Only.

Open Outlook Express, choose File on it's menu select Import, on the
expanded menu choose messages. In the Outlook Express Import dialog window
select "Microsoft Outlook Express 6", click Next. In the Import From OE6
dialog
window tick "Import mail from OE6 store directory", click OK. In the
Outlook Express Import dialog window click Browse and browse to the location
in My Documents where you stored the data, click Next. In the next dialog
window assure All Folders is ticked, click Next.

Confirm everything you saved imported.
