For years, I have used Red to highlight watched messages and when posted a
message in a newsgroup as I am doing now the message appeared as watched
(highlighted red) the next time I visited the newsgroup. Yesterday I
noticed my posted messages in any newsgroup on any server did not appear
highlighted red. If I mark the message to be watched, then it appears
highlighted red.

I have looked under OE's Tools/Options to find something I might have
changed to cause this but found nothing.

Can someone help me out find out why my posts do not get automatically
watched?

Thank you.

So, years ago, you have created a news message rule to highlight your
own messages. Otherwise they would not have been watched automatically.

Did you perchance change your sender information recently? Your email
address, mayhaps? You would have to adopt your news message rule to this
new setting. Go to Tools/Message Rules/News....

BTW: You might use a different colour than red for your own messages,
makes them stand out even more. Further informations on what all is
possible with OE and newsgroups are available he

YES! I had forgotten all about that. I cleaned out all of the rules a day
or so ago. Guess I will just have to re-do that one.

Thanks again.
