I imported all of my messages and folders from Outlook into OE. None of my
message rules came along for the ride, so I am trying to create them. When I click on "specified folder" I get an hourglass shape and then it eventually disappears. I never get another window or a list of folders or anything. I can't find anything on the web about this... any ideas?? |

Message Rules may be corrupted.
With OE closed, go to Start | Run and type in: regedit and navigate to this key: |--HKEY_CURRENT_USER |-----Identities |--------{GUID} |-----------Software |--------------Microsoft |-----------------Outlook Express |--------------------5.0 where GUID is the Global Unique IDentifier for your Identity. Under that key, you will find the following sub-keys, among others: |-----------------------Block Senders |-----------------------Rules |-----------------------Signatures Select the Rules Key and delete it. Reboot and open OE and see if it works now. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Kahri Lynn" wrote in message ... I imported all of my messages and folders from Outlook into OE. You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main
Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages from the old identity and delete it.
