Hello!
Why does OE6 show an envelope in the right low corner, if it does not get a new message? All folders in my hotmail.com and imap e-mail accounts are not bold. There is not a new message in my incoming folders. I use Windows 2000 sp4. Best regards, Dima +7 495 6274443 from 9 till 18 Moscow time +7 9163876746 all other time |

Do you have any message rules that may be *moving* incoming messages to
another folder? How about Blocked Senders? Either of those will set off the icon's appearance since you did have incoming but your setup is not showing anything in your Inbox. -- Jim Pickering MVP-Outlook Express/Windows Mail Please reply to newsgroup only so that others may be helped with your feedback. You might want to check with the IMAP server host to see if they are
applying any rules, on the server side that may be the cause. Other than that, I have no idea why the icon is appearing if there really are no new incoming messages. As I said, if it's not some server side rule being applied (such as an
antispam or antivirus scan), then I have no idea. But I still suspect there is something going on at the server side and someone is not being completely truthful with you. But, that's only a guess. Good luck in solving it. -- Jim Pickering MVP-Outlook Express/Windows Mail Please reply to newsgroup only so that others may be helped with your feedback. "Dmitry" wrote in message ...
