Ok, so my computer i normally use is totally screwed up so i have been using
my moms laptop. unfortunately her and my dad have been fighting alot recently and i believe my dad sabotaged this laptop in ways. he put passwords on the windows accounts, however, i already got around those and put them back to normal. my problem is with internet explorer. he enabled the content advisor to block all webpages, there is no password hint so my efforts have been worthless. he did this on my computer once and i used firefox to go onto google and search on how to manually remove the password through the registry editor. it worked then but i surely cant remember the registry entry that i had to delete so can someone please goto google and find this information for me please. any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi Vincent,
It is quite difficult for us to determine if your request is legitimate, or an effort to skirt parental authority. I know from experience that this can be quite a struggle when young. The issue is well documented, however, so you should be able to enlist the help of a friend to find the answer. -- Tim K. aka Kuay Tim MS-MVP - Outlook Express Lynnwood, WA * "Vincent" wrote in message ... yes, i expected a response like this.
i would think the same thing if i were you. i have already emailed a friend to try to help me but im not sure if he really checks his email. if there is any way that i can prove to you that im not trying to get around parental authority i could try that. but think, if it was an authority issue, my dad would simply block any unappropriate sites rather than all websites, then id just be able to do this myself. anyways, thanks for the reply, its nice to know somebody is listening. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kuay Tim" Newsgroups: microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress Sent: Friday, July 28, 2006 1:02 AM Subject: help me out please "Kuay Tim" wrote in message ... ... also, since i dont have internet access Correction: you have Internet access. This NNTP (news) message proves that. You just don't have HTTP (aka web browser) access at the moment. i cant find any other newsgroups to post this on so if anyone can give me some other newsgroups i can visit through OE that would also be appreciated. You are using OE with the msnews NNTP server? To see the full list of MS newsgroups press Ctrl-w (in the main OE application window.) So another way to get at that newsgroup which Kath pointed you to would be to press Ctrl-w and type 6.b (Then click on the Go to button.) FYI Robert Aldwinckle --- |
