Hi all,
I asked this in vb last month then decided this group would be more appropriate. Sorry for the dual post. I want to shell to OE from my vb6 program with an attachment. I can shell using mailto:and send To:, From:, Subject:, and Body: with shellopen, but mailto: does not seem to support attachemnts. OE just ignores the attachment. In Adobe Acrobt Reader 7.0 there is an email option and it launches OE (my default mail client) with the PDF file as an attachment, so I know it's possible to do. This seems like something that would be pretty easy, but it has me stumped. Any Ideas? Thanks, kpg |

The mailto: URL doesn't support attachments, as you've found out.
There are ways to start an OE message with an attachment, as a number of programs support that option and you can do a Right Click and Send To mail recipient via Windows file Explorer. Maybe this will help: http://www.thescarms.com/vbasic/MapiEmail.asp -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "kpg" wrote in message . 16...
