I would like Outlook to be my default e-mail client in our Exchange
environment. But, I still want to use Outlook Express to download my
personal e-mail from my sbcglobal.net mail server (I know I can not send mail
out through the server). I can not figure out a way to open OE6 unless I
make OE6 my default e-mail client in Windows XP.

My idea is to make Outlook my default e-mail client and put an OE6 shortcut
in my taskbar or on the desktop. BUT, I can’t find the OE6 program
application file to do this. Will someone please let me know if this is

Creat a shortcut to the executable file for Outlook Express (msimn.exe)
which is usually located in "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express" folder and
save it on your Desktop. To open Outlook Express, just click on the
shortcut.

Do a search for it. Hold down the left window key on your keyboard while
holding down the F key.

What operating system are you using (Windows version)? Have you tried a
file search for it? Click Start/Search and enter "msimn.exe" in the box w/o
the quotes and it should return the file path to the executable. MSIMN was
originally an abbreviation for MicroSoft Internet Mail and News.

It's XP SP2. It's a network, mirrored situation but I think programs like
OE6 should be on our own, the client, hard drive. I do a little admin on the
network and if someone needs Flash or something like that, I'm always logging
in as the admin and loading the program to the local (C drive. I should
havementioned earlier that I did do a search ffor the file. Is it possible
that OE6 could be running off our server? Any advice would be appreciated.
