Default OE6 -- delete on exit issue;

When I attempt to set OE so that the deleted items folder is emptied on exit,
it won't accept the change. Instead I get an error message that says: "Please
enter a vakue between 5 and 100 for the percent at which to compact files."
There is no place to enter this unrelated information, so it forces me to
cancel and leave the setting so that I must manually delete files each time.
I already tried removing and re-installing OE, but it did not correct it.
Anyone had this issue before?

Tell us how and where you are attempting to make this change and maybe we
can help. A mention of the operating system you are using, along with the
version number shown in Outlook Express Help/About menu would also be
helpful. Also, are you using the beta of Internet Explorer 7 by chance?

A few others have run across the issue

What that person did was create a new identity.
