Default Drop and Drag

When I attempt to drop and drag email to various folders, the message opens instead. Can someone help?

Are you letting go of the left mouse button while the folder is highlighted
in blue? If you let go too soon, or too late, the message will open.

Does Right click | Move to folder still work?

Thanks Bruce,

I am doing everything as prescribed. I've tried the control panel and the mouse, but the message keeps opening. Is there another method besides drag and drop that I can use?

Did you check that your mouse wasn't set to open with single clicks rather
that double clicks?

As I said. Right click on the message header | Move To Folder. Does that
work?

Well, I did right click with the same results. However, I am interested in setting my mouse to double click opposed to single click. How would I check that?

Go to Control Panel and then click on Mouse. You should be able to change it
from there.

Is it opening in its own window or in the Preview Pane?
