OE6 slow to display after XP SP2 install
I installed Windows XP SP2 (I am running XP Professional) and now my
Outlook Express is very slow to display messages in the preview pane. It takes a minimum of 20 seconds to display after the message is highlighted in the messge list pane. Before I installed SP2, it was fast, almost instantaneous. When I uninstall SP2 it becomes fast again. I have rebooted numerous times, done a virus scan and spy scan, and have also manually compacted all the folders. I have the same slow Outlook Express display problem on my laptop which came with Windows XP Professional SP2 already loaded on it by the OEM. Can anybody give me advice about how to fix this?
