Default Picasa, Outlook express ??

I'm not very computer literate. I have 2 computers one with Win2K one
with XP.
The W2K when using Outlook Express (OE) can send emails from Picasa it
can also import or export address books as .PAB files. They both shows
Outlook Express in the Internet options program as the default option.
Both work fine for all email tasks except for the XP not being able to
send Picasa2 pictures or import or Export.
I found a suggested fix on this site that suggested that I click Start,
Run and type "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg; I
have tried this but nothing has changed.
Unfortunately the computer that I generally use for this type of thing
is the XP and it's difficult to make it otherwise.
Is there a solution. I'm uncertain that the problem is all Picasa, I
believe it may be more Outlook Express because of the Import/Export
problem.

OE cannot directly read or write PST or PAB files. You have to have a
program installed on the same PC with Outlook Express that can handle
PST or PAB files. This would be the Win95 Exchange Client, Windows
Messaging, Outlook97/98/2000+. OE uses the MAPI functions to get the
other program to handle the PST or PAB file and pass the data to it.

So I suspect that your W2K Pc has Outlook97/98/2000+ installed (part of
Microsoft Office) and your XP PC doesn't.

Regarding you sending problem from Picasa, what happens? Any error
message?

Take a look at:
OLEXP: "Send To" and E-mail Links Do Not Work with Outlook Express

Also, in Windows XP: Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Set Program
Access and Defaults, Email
