Default more reasons to send Hotbar to a North Korean concentration camp

a few days ago, my wife's PC got problems:
IE6SP1 starts crashing when going to presumably safe sites,
one of these being support.microsoft.com !!!!
Also OE is kaput, says it can't load address book.
I had a looksee, and noticed the day this began,
that Hotbar had updated itself.
