Default outlook express ( E-Mail)

Every time I open outlook express I have to create a new account to access
my e-mail. I just bought a new computer and everything works great except
for the outlook. I talked to my internet support people and also mcaffee
support and they think there may be something wrong with outlook express.
Has anyone experienced the same problem? I would appreciate any info that
could help me with this problem. Thanks K.F.

Create a new Identity and turn off the email scanning.

Sounds like you bought a Dell, but..........................

What happens when you have problems? Does the POP3 settings change to
127.0.0.1, or something similar?

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer
of protection that eats up CPUs and causes a multitude of problems such as
time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A/V program will
continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see:

And do yourself an even bigger favor and get rid of anything by McAfee and
Norton. Both do not work well with OE.
