Get a paid account, not a free one.

Well; start by reading their message, and doing what they suggest. THEN ask
questions if you still need to. THEY have the exact answer you need.

You weren't using Outlook in the first place, if your first line is
accurate. Outlook is to Oulook Express as butter is to butterfly. That
is, the two are completely different, and unrelated programs.

There is a solution. Pay MSN $19.95 per year for a MSN Hotmail Plus
account.

Use some kind of web to POP proxy. I don't know of any because I don't
need one. I don't use free accounts, very much, when they don't offer
POP3/SMTP access.

Default Can't use Outlook.

Hotmail stopped offering free access in Sept. 04 to new accounts.

If you want to use Outlook Express to access your Hotmail account, you must
have an MSN subscription, or Hotmail Plus. For more information, visit the
following Microsoft Web site:
http://join.msn.com/hotmailplus/overview-std

See this about reading Hotmail in OE:
