No sound when message received
Some time ago I stopped hearing a sound when messages come in even though
"Play sound when new messages arrive" is checked. Any ideas of why?

Check Control Panel | Sounds | New message notification and see what is set

That was it. The file I had assigned to new message sound was no longer
there. Thanks so much ! !
