I have a new computer,Windows XP Media Center is the operating
system.(version 5.1 Build 2600 .XPSP_SP@_rtm .040803_23158:Sevice Pak 2) It
is a Hewlett Packard Pavilion Computer, Pentium Dual core processor. After
installing Spamfighter Outlook Express is slow opening anywhere from 1 to 2
minutes to open. At Hewlett Packard Tech support suggestion the following
was done: Computer restored to the way it left the factory and everything
reloaded, Downloaded Internet Explore 7 Beta 3, returned back to Internet
Explore 6, Outlook Express 6 is the default email user, with the computer
back to Internet Explore 6 Outlook Express was removed and reinstalled. No
matter what I have done as long as Spamfighter is installed Outlook Express
is slow opening, remove Spamfighter and Outlook Express opens instantly when
the icon is clicked on. I have sent an E mail to Spam fighter tech support
about this but have not received a reply yet. Has anyone else experienced
this and how did you resolve it?

OE doesn't care much for programs like Spamfighter. You'll have to live
without it.

Try unchecking the option to check for new mail at startup.

My personal choice would be to uninstall Spamfighter. I dislike all
anti-spam programs and will just keep removing it myself. It really isn't a
big chore to delete a couple hundred spam messages.

Quite a number of people have posted here with major problems that were
fixed by removing Spamfighter.
