hi..thanks there.
i have a backup but up to July 2006 only. i have not restored it yet. yes all 2000-2006 messages were in the inbox before this incident. "Ron Sommer" wrote: OE will ask to compact. If in fact these messages were left in the INBOX the problem will reoccur
again someday. Highly suggest you move or copy them to a different folder that you create.
