Default SLOOOOOWWWW GOING

all of the sudden both IE and OE are so slow I think the machine is hung up!
It takes forever (like 30secs are so) for IE to open a site - and in OE -
when graphics are clicked to show in a message, it takes forever for them to
show up also

any ideas?

This happens to me when a program like an anti-virus is running a scan in
the background.

I've been looking for my original message - and can find it nowhere - and
then I see your 'answer' ... unfortunately - I have no clue what you have
just said .... can you explain ?? and where would my original post have
gone??
