Default How to make OE 6 show all messages in an imap inbox?

I use AOL/AIM IMAP server to download/acces my emails on free AIM
account and I don'y have any problems. Have you selected port 587?

There are more than 200 messages in the mail box. I use the mail box through
the web interface several times a day. The server has not purged them. I do
not know another better provider wich provides pop3, imap, web, wap access
to a mail box, good spam defence and spam reporting ability.

It appears that you have, at most, 10-13 messages on the server. I
suspect that you or some other user has marked some Read messages as due
to be purged, and the server has purged them for you. Take a look at your
options settings in Outlook Express under Tools/Options/Maintenance and
see if there is a check mark in the box "Purge deleted messages when
leaving IMAP folders." If that box is checked, it is the most likely
cause of why you cannot see your old messages. I'm sorry that your server
host is not more helpful and if that is their attitude, I'd start looking
about for a new mail host. Your choice.

Thanks Jim Pickering for your reply.
I looked at a log of my other working imap account.
Please, look at the second my reply with the newer log.
I attach the log again in this reply.
I contacted the host for the IMAP server. They are not going to resolve
why
my earlier and newer messages are not being seen. They recommend to use
another, not Microsoft, imap e-mail program, since another OE6 sees all
the
messages. They do not want the log files.
them a copy of the log for information.

Hi Dmitry: I don't see much that causes alarm in your log file. I'd
really like to suggest you contact the host for the IMAP server and see
if
they can resolve why your earlier messages are not being seen. And I
would also send them a copy of the log for information. Please let us
know how that turns out.

The logs are saved in your message store folder. To determine the
location
of that, in Outlook Express, click on Tools/Options/Maintenance and
then
click the Store Folder button. You can send a copy of the log file as
an
attachment to your next post. Be aware these logs are for
troubleshooting
only and should be unchecked after a short while as they will continue
to
grow in file size every time you visit the server to poll for messages
or
send a message.

Thanks Robert Aldwinckle for the IMAP troubleshooting log hint.
This other user is me. I turned on the IMAP troubleshooting log.
Where
are
the logs saved?

Thanks Jim Pickering and Ron Sommer for replying.
View Settings was and is View/Current View/Show All Messages. The
Web
interface and another OE6 show that all 220 messages are retained
on
the
server. The host for my IMAP server says that since another OE6 on
another
computer sees all mesages, the problem is with OE6, not with IMAP
e-mail
service.

Do you know this other user? If so, you could both turn on the
IMAP
troubleshooting log and then compare the two logs to see what the
differences were. In any case, the IMAP.log could give you more
clues about your own case which may help improve your symptom
description. (Hint: troubleshooting logs are activated from the
Options,
Maintenance tab.)

Good luck

Thanks for your reply!
I do not have any problems with my imap server with my other e-mail account.
What is the port 587? Where should I select it?
Best regards,
Dima
