Delete Pop3uidl.dbx and OE should only download the messages once more.
First make sure the account is NOT set to leave messages on the server. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com "JCW" wrote in message ... Any other suggestions. I even had a support chat session with a at&t /yahoo person who didn't give me any help. After letting all 16,000 email download, and made sure the settings were correct. I opened OE and the download started all over again at 1 going to 16,000. Any other advice would be appreciated. JCW "JCW" wrote in message ... Frank, I did as you suggested but it does the same thing. Starts the download of 15,764 emails then stops at some point, then starts again at 1 of 15,764 meaning doubles then triples etc. Any other ideas? How can I get to the server and have them delete the messages? JCW "JCW" wrote in message ... And what would that website be. I am using SBC?Yahoo. There are over 16,000 messages dating back to Oct 2005. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks Create a new Identity in OE and download the account there. Yes Frank, I tried that along with quite a few other things, to no avail.
Finally, I went to AT&T/Yahoo mail and deleted the email a few hundred at a time and that seemed to work, for whatever reason. At any rate, I am in the process of sorting out thousands of duplicate and triplicates emails in order to get the last couple of weeks emails that I could not download. I am grateful for everyone's help... JCW "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM" wrote in message ... Delete Pop3uidl.dbx and OE should only download the messages once more. JCW I had AT&T as an ISP at the beginning, but dropped them as soon as I found a local ISP serving my part of the county. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Answer in newsgroup. ![]() "JCW" wrote in message ... I keep getting messages from 2005 and early 2006 downloaded from my server. I have checked the boxes Remove from server after 15 days and remove from server after deleted from deleted items folder. How can I stop this from happening? I have asked that messages be left on the server for 15 days but I am getting close to 10,000 emails downloaded everytime I click send and receive. Thanks in advance.. dfvgvbvcxtb JCW zxzfvxbcvvvfcox gdfbgdgdgdfbnddgdfdgdsbdfg dfgdgdfdngfggdfbdgdffngfdgfdg |
