Is there any way to undelete deleted messages that have been deleted from
the deleted items folder? Would they be in the Recycle Bin or anywhere else? My phone line was down due to a storm, and my ISP (BellSouth) started returning messages because my mailbox was full (they don't allow much space!). I had a bunch of messages from them, most of which I didn't bother to read because it's usually from one sender, who sends huge things. Now I find out there were at least 2 important messages from other people that I didn't know about. |

Only files go to the Recycle Bin. Messages aren't files, they are just
some data within a file like text within a word processing document. Even though there are folders within Outlook Express they aren't real Windows folders. If you haven't compacted your OE folders yet, you might be able to recover some of the messages using one of these utilities: DBXtract - http://www.oehelp.com/DBXtract/Default.aspx DBXpress - http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/Default.aspx -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Joy" wrote in message ... Thanks. I think before downloading (or buying) a whole utlitity program at
this point, I'll just wait and hope the senders whose messages were rejected, will send them again. Thanks, anyway, though. "Michael Santovec" wrote in message ... Only files go to the Recycle Bin. Also those programs will only partially recover the messages, and if they
included attachments or images, those won't be recoverable. steve "Joy" wrote in message ... Thanks.
