For viewing? View | Text Size. It is changeable if reading in HTML. It is
Fixed if reading in Plain Text. However, even in Plain Text, you can hold
down the Ctrl key and spin the mouse wheel to resize.

Click a blank area next to the message list.
Or:
Select a newsgroup from the folder list and do not select a message.
The view text size then becomes available.
Or:
OEtoolsoptionsreadfont, change it there.
