When sending to a group, is there any way to produce the + along with it as
Outlook and some other mail clients do. I really would like to be able to
somehow expand any particular group where as I can then remove certain names
from the group such as the person who sent it to me. Thanks for any help!

There's a trick to sending to some, but not all, of the members of a
group in Outlook Express.
- Start the mail as usual and enter the group in the TO (or CC or BCC)
field.
- But instead of sending the message, click the X in the upper right
hand corner of the message window and click YES when asked if you want
to save the message.
- Then go to your DRAFTS folder. You'll find the message there. Double
click it to open in a message composition window.
- You'll find that the group name has been replaced by the list of
e-mail addresses. You can highlight and delete the unwanted one. Also
delete the extra semicolon that is left over for separating that name
for the adjacent one.
- You can now send the message as normal.

Are you sure we're talking the latest version of OE 6? My group name is still
there no matter what I do, unless I'm missing something here.

If the group name only has one address, then the name is all that you will
see.
Click on the Address Book and insert a group name.

All my groups have more than one name as the word itself implies, otherwise
there wouldn't be any need to have the group in the first place. I don't get
any personal names at all, just the name of the group that I put in before it
was sent to drafts. So you guys are both telling me that you have the latest
OE 6 and are able to accomplish this feat? Is that correct.

Hi Danny,

I have OE 6.

What Michael wrote is similar to what I do to remove a group member before
sending.

Example:

Create email including subject line, clicking To: brings up address book
recipients dialog window where I add my group and click OK, group name
appears in the To: field, click the X in the upper right hand corner of the
message window and click YES when asked to save the message.

Then go to DRAFTS folder, select message, the group name is gone from the
To: field and replaced by all members.

Double click to open message, click To:, now all members appear in address
book recipients dialog, scroll, select and right click the member to remove,
click Ok, click Send.
