Just to be clear...are you guys telling people to turn off their antivrus
scanning?

I use AVG. If I turn that off what protects me against virus arriving
through email or attachments.






my internet provider is comcast, it comes w/ mcafee automatically, idon't
under stand why i have other security programs poping up.

because
1 macafee is useless
2 the other security programs are not security programs they are
bombs/bugs/trojans/infectors & everything else that has got past
macafee(which is useless)
