I have two DSL accounts at different locations in same ISP
area (Bellsouth) Home and Office. They are within 12 miles of each other. I thought I would be able to download email of the other account at each location (leaving a copy on the server). In other words, from home, I want to not only get my home email on OE but also my office email leaving a copy of it on the server. And at the office, I thought I would be able to get my office email on OE and also my home email leaving a copy of it on the server. But it doesn't work. The account and password of only the location that I'm at works. I am unable to download the email from the home account to the office computer. Is there some secret or it can't be done???? thanks |

What does BellSouth have to say about this? What does your IT person at
work say? -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Security, Shell/User) Tonya wrote: I have two DSL accounts at different locations in same ISP area (Bellsouth) Home and Office. I am the only person at work. :-) Small office. Well, occasionally,
the boss shows up but he doesn't really work. lol I haven't asked BellSouth cause I figured the answer was simple and someone here would be able to tell me what to do. "PA Bear" wrote in message ... And naturally, I could use web to check email on each account, but I
thought OE could do that. Thanks PA Bear! "PA Bear" wrote in message ... What does BellSouth have to say about this? It should be possible. Unfortunately, I am not a Bellsouth user. I wouldn't expect too many MS-MVPs to know a lot about how Bellsouth does things, and a very small percentage of posters to this group are likely to know anything about how Bellsouth works. Thanks Norman. I sent an email to Bellsouth but it was never
answered. The question, I thought, was more generic, but obviously some here feel it is specific to Bellsouth. Thanks for your help!!! "N. Miller" wrote in message ... What sort of error message are you getting? You should be able to receive
mail without any problems, if you have the correct username and password, regardless of location, but your SMTP server (that sends the mail) will only work for the account to which you are connected, so at work you have to use the SMTP server for each account to the work account and at home, use the SMTP server for the home account. steve "Tonya" wrote in message ...
