In Outlook Express, when opening an email, the email now only opens about
3/4 of the way. It looks as though a sheet of paper has been placed along the left and lower edges of the screen, but not the top and the right hand side. The 3/4 screen cannot be dragged to enlarge it; it can be enlarged only by using the Restore button on the uppper right. Each email will open this way unless it is opened when the previous (upper) email is closed at the X; then the following email will open full screen. I believe that the trigger for this was a MS update. Do you have any suggestions? This is a big pain! -- PT |

If you can determine the update that may have caused this, remove it via the
Control Panel and restart your computer. If it is back to normal, disable your anti-virus program and download it again. A/V programs can prevent a clean install of updates. Another thing to try: You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages and Address Book from the old identity and delete it. Do NOT use the Maximize option. A Maximize does not get remembered.
Instead move/resize the window and then close it. That will get remembered. To get a window back on the screen, try this: - Use Alt/Tab to make it the active window - Press Alt/Space to get the control window for that application - Press M to select the Move option - Now you can use the arrow keys to move the window around the screen to get it properly in view - Press the Enter key when the window is where you want it If you need to resize a window, but can't use the mouse, try this: - Use Alt/Tab to make it the active window - Press Alt/Space to get the control window for that application - Press S to select the Size option - Now you can use the arrow keys to resize the window - Press the Enter key when the window is the size you want it -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "PT" wrote in message ...
