Been running fine with Norton 2003 (Internet security and system works).
Now I've finally updated to NSW 2006 and NIS 2006. Not sure which it was, but I think it was the NIS install that seems to have really hammered my OE. OE is now VERY slow to load the folders (yeah, they're kinda large, but they were large before), deleting individual messages takes several seconds, as does moving from one folder to the next. I've done the things Norton suggests, such as a program search in NIS for internet-connected programs, running Norton's Speed disk. The stuff that's in startup needs to be there, and was there before. Any ideas, other than removing perhaps the Norton Anti-Spam (as that's where I think the problem is, but then what to use for anti-spam? MS Defender does not allow for any anti-spam configurations). Thanks. -- Bill |
