I have set up a new Outlook Express account for a customer. I have configured
everything as per the ISP's instructions. POP3 SMTP etc. I send a test email to my Yahoo account and receive it OK.I then reply, but this does not appear in outlook express. Also if I send emails to that account they never appear. No error messages appear. When I click Send/receive all looks OK connects, authorises etc. checks for mail, but doesn't see any. "no new messages" appears on bottom right hand corner as normal. I am not able to go to the server (Web account) to check emails as the email address is on of those . Any ideas. Thanks David |

You may want to try recording a pop3.log which will show more details
about incoming mail. To create an POP3.log In OE5+, go to Tools, Options, Maintenance, Troubleshooting and check the Mail box. You may need to close OE after doing the send/receive for the log to get written to disk. The log will be in the Store Folder which is listed in Tools, Options, Maintenance, Store Folder. From the log we can tell if there are really no messages there, or OE is skipping over messages. Or with many ISPs you can use Telnet to look at your server mail box. You can find these Telnet instructions at http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_san...pop3telnet.htm -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Davidd" wrote in message ...
