Default Outlook Express Goes Online

I have clicked file - work off-line yet if I switch to another program and
back again Outlook Express has gone back to online. Why does it do this?

Sorry, wrong group

What programs are you switching to?

IE for instance will reset it back to work online.

Telling Internet Explorer to work online will put OE online.

There is no longer the function to put IE online/offline (it used to be
under file) which is why I open OE.

That's a different problem.

You may have to change your Home page...

titleKB257693 - "Work Offline" Command Is Missing from the File Menu/title

Alternatively I expect you could try adding the Offline toolbar button
provided by one of the IE5 Web Accessories packages.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...s/default.mspx

Good luck
